How We Work

To help you understand how we work with clients through the financial planning process, we'll take you through each of the steps involved.

How We Work

Initial inquiry/contact - our first contact will be to:

  • Learn about our philosophy, services, and qualifications; this Web site should provide much of this information for you
  • Talk briefly or exchange e-mails to schedule a Get Acquainted meeting
  • Please fill out the Confidential Questionnaire, and send it in to us at least 1 business day prior to our Get Acquainted meeting

Get Acquainted meeting - our first meeting is no-cost no-obligation to you:

  • Review your questions and concerns on which you are seeking advice
  • Discuss how we may be able to assist you
  • We will provide a fee estimate for the engagement
  • When we agree on the work to be performed, a down payment of 50% of the fee estimate (maximum $500) is at that time

Data Collection and Analysis - we get down to the serious work involved:

  • You provide the requested documents and information
  • The appropriate analyses and plan development are done
  • If appropriate, we may schedule an interactive meeting to further refine your goals and clarify issues

Presentation meeting - a detailed review of your plan and our recommendations:

  • Present and review your financial plan with you
  • Provide Recommendations and an Action Plan Checklist to guide your implementation of the plan
  • Answer any questions you may have at the time
  • Discuss any implementation assistance that you may require
  • Payment for the final portion of the fee is due at this time

Follow-up - to help you with any immediate questions, and make sure you are on track:

  • Feel free to ask any questions on your plan for the first 30 days
  • Schedule additional engagements to work on other areas of your financial plan, if necessary
  • Plan future check-up meetings to address any changes in your situation and updates to your plan

A more detailed flow chart is available on the planning process.
